Sun, nature and love: an intimate wedding in the beautiful city of Mafra, Portugal.
As you probably already know, I’m Portuguese. So, it’s always a thrill to see couples choose my country to celebrate one of the most special days in their lives.
Today I share with you the beautiful intimate wedding of Kirsten and Josh, an American couple who found in Mafra the perfect place to say “I do”.
An Intimate Wedding in Quinta de Sant’Ana
I think you can tell by the pictures how lovely this wedding was! Kirsten and Josh choose to have a ceremony with just a few guests, which helped to create a more intimate and cherished ambiance.
The entire wedding had a very simple and Nature inspired vibe. The bride and groom exchange vows in the garden of Quinta de Sant’Ana, one of the most popular venues in Portugal.
Quinta de Sant’Ana is located in Mafra, a small city in the district of Lisbon. But, besides being less than an hour away from the capital of Portugal, there’s a very rustic and rural atmosphere. This is the perfect choice for couples who want to get married surrounded by Nature.
Another important detail about this intimate wedding is the decoration. The entire space was designed by the Quinta de Sant’Ana team, which chose to keep a very minimalist and rustic decor, with the flowers being the main character of the space. Also, all the flowers used in the decor grow in their garden and farm, isn’t it amazing?
Just like it happens in this elegant wedding in Loire Valley and in this Jewish wedding in Ischia, I shared these moments with the lovely Louise Golding, as her second photographer. I feel really lucky to be able to live such special moments like these with a friend I like and admire so much!
