Have you ever considered an elopement? Just get together with your soulmate – maybe together with your closest family and friends – and get married in a very intimate ceremony?

For some couples, the “traditional wedding” just doesn’t make sense anymore. And there are many reasons for it. It could be because it’s a really expensive ceremony, because they simply prefer something more intimate, because they’re looking for something more spontaneous or just because they are really focused on making this a unique moment to hold dear forever and ever.

Luckily for these couples, the elopements are getting more and more frequent and offer the perfect solution for those who want to celebrate their wedding in their own unique way.

A Modern Elopement in Milan

Some may think that an elopement only makes sense if you travel half the world to get married in a paradisiac landscape with clear sea waters and white sand beaches. Well, if this is what makes sense for you as a couple, just go for it! But it’s important to keep in mind that what is really important is that you choose a place that has a special meaning for both of you… and it can be a city… just like Milan!

In December, I flew to this beautiful italian city to be the wedding photographer and videographer of this modern elopement. Milan is the perfect combination of history and fashion, with classical buildings and incredible stores of iconic brands… I mean, you can feel this unique vibe in the air!

Inspired by this atmosphere, I tried to capture the couple and the city essence. The final result is an editorial that combines the romantic ambiance, with a touch of modern, fashion, and unique details.
